Immerse yourself in a rousing comedy that exposes the dark side of the abuse of power and the shocking inequalities in the world of work!
With sharp-witted humor and surprising twists, every scene becomes a mirror of our society and inspires laughter and reflection. Experience a captivating production that delves deep into the themes of power, hierarchy and human insight! Four Greeks, survivors of a shipwreck, land on an unusual slave island: Iphikrates, his servant Arlequin, Euphrosine and her maid Cleanthis. Here the world has been turned upside down: The former masters must now take on the perspective of the servants in order to recognize the abysses of their own despotism. In this powerful role reversal, Arlequin and Cleanthis support Iphikrates and Euphrosine with unsparing descriptions of the injustice they have suffered, without seeking revenge on their former masters.
Through this learning process, the four Greeks gain reason and insight. In the end, they have the opportunity to return to Athens – but what have they learned from their time on the slave island? Let yourself be carried away by this unique story that will make you laugh and think!
